Welcome to Hoover Elementary PTA 2015-16! Our PTA is dedicated to supporting parents and teachers, enhancing the educational atmosphere, and providing opportunities for students to enjoy additional learning experiences. More information on our programs & services can be found Here. We meet monthly to discuss our goals and progress with feedback from parents, teachers, and community members. All parents, grandparents, families, teachers, and other school professionals are welcome to join our PTA. Come to a meeting and let us introduce ourselves!
February 26, 5-7pm: Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction - this is a special fund-raiser for items on the school's "wish list". (Previous years we've paid for the highly requested leveled reading kits and the lifetime-warranty headphones for the students' i-pads). Exact items for 2016 will be determined by the outcome of this year's fundraiser. Not in the mood for pasta? Come check out the raffle baskets anyway! Auction starts at 5:30
March 8, 6:30pm: PTA meeting (free childcare provided)
March 22, 6:30-7:30: Ice Cream Social ***There is also a Book Fair from 5-7 - come grab some books for Spring Break!
April 12, 6:30pm: PTA meeting (free childcare provided)
April 15, 12:30-3:15: High Interest Day
April 29 6-8: Spring Dance - we will be collecting donations for local Food Pantries, and items donated will earn tickets for refreshments and activities at the dance
May 10, 6:30pm: FINAL PTA meeting for 2015-16! Please join us as we discuss plans for 2016-17 (free childcare provided)
May 20, ALL DAY! : Reading Carnival - students have recorded reading time all year to earn tickets for this great event - come play games, win prizes, and enjoy other fun activities! **May 19, 5:30-7:30: Reading Carnival Set-up - please come give us a hand setting up the games and activities for the "big event" - we'll even feed you :-)
